Well, what a night that was!

Before we played, our Drummergirl Gaynor, had a wander round the venue to distribute Sorry Not Sorry beer mats! She got chatting to several people about the music we play, and drummed up (!) a fair bit of support. We also had a great posse of friends and followers who had travelled to Bishop's Stortford, some from quite a distance, to see us.

We hit the stage at 9pm, and The Long Room was already starting to get busy. By the end of our first song, Teenage Kicks, we could see a fair few people singing along and dancing.

Set 1 was a mix of rock, punk, pop punk, and metal songs, with a good balance of sing a long songs! We could see a lot of people singing along to the usual classics, like Rebel Yell (Billy Idol), All the Small Things (Blink 182), and You Give Love a Bad Name (Bon Jovi). We brought in a couple of new songs, and were looking to see what reaction they got. Fight For your Right (Beastie Boys), went down really well, as expected, but we were really pleased to see such a good reaction, with lots of people singing, to 99 Red Balloons (Nena), as that was something a bit different for us.

The highlight of Set 1 was probably American Idiot (Green Day). By this point the dancing was very lively, and our give away Donald Trump masks were enthusiastically received. We ended set 1 with a request to play Teenage Dirtbag (Wheatus), a song we absolutely love to play! By this point there were a lot of people up dancing and singing, and the Sorry Not sorry Beach Balls were soaring through the air!

We took a short break to enable everyone (ourselves included) to top up their drinks, and then bounced back into set 2 with 7 Nation Army (The White Stripes).

Set 2 started with a few classic rock covers from the likes of Motorhead, Metallica, and Black Sabbath, and then went on to include a mix of rock, pop punk and punk covers! We could see some enthusiastic pogoing at the back when we launched into Pretty Vacant (Sex Pistols)!

Our bass player Terry took the lead vocals for the first time with us, with a rendition of Thin Lizzy's Whiskey in the Jar, and was ably assisted by the audience!

Teen spirit (Nirvanna) and I predict a Riot (Kaiser Chiefs), certainly raised the singing volume in the room!

We ended with a favourite of ours, Everything About You (Ugly Kid Joe), but after many shouts for more, we pulled the ever popular dancealong Timewarp out of the bag!

After a good 2 hours of playing, despite the many shouts of "One more song", it was finally time to leave the stage and pack down our gear.

We had a fantastic night, and can not wait to return in July.

Massive thanks to the great Half Moon Team, and to everyone who came out to see us! You Rock!
