A BIT ABOUT EACH BAND

SATURDAY

Firebrand - 9.30pm

A popular and busy gigging covers band with rockin' female vocals, playing classic rock from Janis, Alanis and Stevie, to Aerosmith, AC/DC and GNR. Come and get fired up!

Special Groove - 8pm

Special Groove was formed around 15 years ago and has seen some line-up changes since then, though founder members Phili and Paul Foulsham have been there throughout. At one point the band grew to a 9 piece, with brass section, keyboards and back vocalists, eventually reverting back to a core four-piece line-up, which produces tight, focussed and punchy performances. They play carefully selected cover songs with heart, soul and passion - and every one of them has to have that special something that you can instinctively feel, that groove that keeps your feet tapping, your fingers clicking, your body shaking - you just got to dance!

Sorry Not Sorry - 6.30pm

Sorry Not Sorry – high energy rock and pop punk covers band based in Herts and Essex

Formed in early 2017, Sorry Not Sorry has gained a good following by developing a set list that's a bit different to most other cover bands.

Drawing on the different influences of the band members,

the set list includes rock, punk, pop punk, metal, and Indie covers.

Bands covered include Motorhead, Green Day, The Sex Pistols,  Blink 182, Halestorm, Beastie Boys, Ugly Kid Joe, Nirvana, The Ramones, The Hives, Wheatus, Feeder, Metallica, Joan Jett, and many more.

Sarni fronts the band on vocals, with Gaynor on Drums, Terry on Bass and Steve on guitar

Dead Reynolds - 5 pm

An originals band playing Alt Rock/Modern rock. Driven with catchy melodies to get people moving!

This band has a massive following, and plays venues from London to Peterborough, to up North in Sheffield, so we are delighted to have them play Newport!

Echo Hoax - 4pm

A 4–man rock band with influences of pop, metal, and even Afro-Cuban. They write original music but also add new twists onto their covers of pop songs both new and old.

Echo Hoax formed in late 2023, after guitarist Dale wanted to start a new project, and reunited with his old friends and former band members from school, Ryan and Dan. The three began writing new material but eventually realised they were missing vocals. After some scouting around Harlow, they eventually discovered Cam through his covers on YouTube and TikTok, and once he joined he fit right in! The band has performed at many events in their hometown, Harlow, including the annual Rock The Park!

I Thought I Told You - 3pm

An originals band bringing Alternative Art punk and unpop music to the stage!

They describe themselves as Unorthodox musicians with a great positive energy, creating original challenging music, which is surprisingly well received!

You might recognise the lead singer from Ickleton Social Club!

Remedy - 2pm

It's great to get a youth band to open up the festival!

These guys are making sure the future of music is safe!

REMEDY are a 4-piece band from Essex. Using their passion for music they explore different sounds

and create new dents in the music scene.

They play a mix of original indie/rock and covers

(including music by Royal Blood, Paramore and Red Hot Chili Peppers)
